omg so pottermore babies started just over a year ago so many feels ilu all <3

this time last year i had just made smiles and was getting to know all of you wonderful people on skype and i was staying up until 5am because you all live everywhere except the east coast but it was totally worth it because it was so much fun and gr9 and yeah <3

at some point smiles is going to show up and ruin this picture...

right so lucky’s shirt got a little update because i realized that if smiles gave it to her, it would probably be kinda skimpy and she would feel compelled to wear a tank top under it and she ends up looking completely adorable and smiles is slightly drunk but thinks she looks amazing (despite him spending a large portion of the night finding other people to make out with him)

this is her showing off the shirt like “well, what do you think?” and smiles sort of just blinks for a second (partially from alcohol and partially because he looks she looks great) and then finally says “yes. …..i’mean, ya look like a right vixen!” and lucky sort of frowns a bit and asks “that’s…that’s a good thing, right?” and smiles nods and before he can say anything else he gets dragged off by someone to go sing or make out or something smiles get your life together and marry lucky jfc.

in my head this is like right after they get out of school so it’s still a couple years before they actually get together.

smiles totes got her that shirt (it says “Luck o’ the” over the flag of Ireland in case you can’t read my shitty handwriting) and he probably has one that says “kiss me, i’m irish!” which he will not stop pointing to and waggling his eyebrows and lucky is just like “no :T” and at the end of the night she gives him a peck on the cheek and insists it’s just to thank him for the shirt.

so in rule 63 world smiley actually goes to the yule ball and tries to make out with everyone and probably gets a little or very drunk but the important thing is that at the end of the night she dances with lucky~

but i still felt compelled to show her in her uniform, following the other headcanon where she doesn’t go to the dance but stops by afterwards and still ends up dancing with lucky.

and instead of lucky giving smiles a flower to tuck into his shirt before they dance, m!lucky gives smiley a flower for her hair and it’s all very adorable.

idk why the flower is so big the flowers in m!lucky’s hair were not giant ass daisies

Lucky is in her third year at St. Mungo’s Medical School (shush it’s a thing idk how else do wizards and witches become doctors?????). Nothing warms her up during her treks across the snow-covered campus like a letter from Smiles, who is currently interning at the Ministry of Magic with his father. His crazy stories always make her laugh~

Yeah that’s basically it idk man I saw a cute picture of Billie Piper in a poncho and thought “LUCKY SHOULD WEAR THAT” and here we are~

BUT

Okay so, Smucky. Basically here’s how I see it playing out:

When they’re in school, they’re wrong for each other. Smiles isn’t emotionally prepared to be in an actual relationship no matter how he feels for Lucky. Lucky I think is looking for something real and stable (despite their age) and since they’re like bffls at this point she knows that he’s the last guy to go to for that. Also she probably sees the type he pursues and it’s not exactly…her, and so she sort of assumes that there will never be anything there. Or something. But they’re still super close and I think they’re even sort of like snuggly friends, like idk but they fall asleep on each other a lot and just do things together and if Smiles didn’t have his reputation than people would probably assume that they’re dating.

And then Smiles graduates and then keep in touch and probably see each other (not often, but enough) and Smiles becomes an actual competent human being and adult. And after a few years apart, they each get jobs at Hogwarts. Smiles takes up as the Care of Magical Creatures professor which has basically been his dream since starting school (prior to this he interned with his dad at the Ministry). Lucky works in the Infirmary (probably not as the actual matron but come on there’s like a crap ton of students at this school and I refuse to believe they have only one nurse). Smiles probably gets his job first, by at least a couple years, so when they finally work together they’re both in their twenties and have done a lot of growing up. Smiles doesn’t sleep around like a freaking prostitute which is nice and Lucky has sort of figured out who she is and where she wants to go in life. So finally they’re both ready for each other.

Now that they work together they go back to being really good friends but neither wants to complicate that by bringing up past feelings so it’s all very platonic.

UNTIL

One day Smiles is out with some particularly dangerous creature and something goes wrong and he gets hurt (not terribly, minor enough that he can cancel class and send the students away and basically hide the wound until he can hobble up to the Hospital Wing. And Lucky is there and sort of freaks out and sits him down and is tending to him and going on about how he has to be careful and maybe it’s like the magic pain killing potion or maybe it’s the way the sunlight hits her hair as she frets over him but Smiles just sort of leans forward and kisses her.

And…yeah idk but I know eventually they get married and have a whole slew of adorable kids so THERE YOU HAVE IT.

The Shrieking Shack looms off in the distance, only partially obscured by the white drifts of snow that have built up. Finally, the weather had let up enough that the students could actually go out and enjoy their Hogsmeade trip, one odd couple in particular having wandered off.

Well, ‘couple’ was a strong word. Smiles wasn’t exactly the ‘couple’ kind of guy, and Lucky certainly wasn’t the type of person he would normally go for anyway. They were just friends, just two friends taking a leisurely stroll in the snow. Actually, thought Smiles wouldn’t admit it, his mind had recently been quite preoccupied with this friendship and the ‘friend’ rather than ‘relation’ aspect therein. Of course, he refused these thoughts as he trudged through the snow, his scarf wrapped tightly around him.

They got as close to the Shack as they dared, which was as far as the fence surrounding the property. With a grin, Lucky slipped to the other side then climbed up on an old wood post.

“Look, I’m finally as tall as you,” she said with a laugh. Smiles grinned wryly in return.

“Ah, not quite,” he pointed out, stepping forward. It was true; he still stood a few inches over the little Gryffindor. “Although it does even things out a bit, yeah?” Lucky hummed her response, looking contemplatively at Smiles before reaching out and grabbing the Slytherin’s scarf, pulling the boy closer.

“Oh w-woah, what-” Smiles started, heart hammering a bit louder than he dared admit. Still with her same playful smile, Lucky unwound his scarf from his neck, then did the same with her own. When the scarfs were both loose around their necks she wrapped them together.

“Christmas colors!” she declared with a giggle. “That’s sort of funny, isn’t it? Gryffindor and Slytherin are supposed to be enemies, but their colors kind of go together.”

Smiles could only force a grin and nod, trying and failing to not be hyper-aware of how close they suddenly were, and connected in such a way. Lucky’s cheeks were flushed from the cold but it did nothing to hamper that same smile on her lips.

“I’m glad we’re not enemies, Smiles,” she said, and Smiles chuckled, finally finding his voice.

“Aye, me s’well, lass,” he replied, his breath tufting up in little clouds between them. Lucky’s brow suddenly furrowed a bit and she tugged the scarves apart, leaning forward to Smiles to wrap his back around him. He gulped and closed his eyes and refused to acknowledge the pleasant floral smell that always hung around her.

“Look at you, you’re all red from the cold!” Lucky said, looking worried. Smiles had to stop the nervous laughter that almost bubbled up. Yeah, sure, the cold was making him red. “C’mon, let’s get somewhere warm.” She hopped down from the fence, wrapping her arms around one of his. “I’ll keep you warm!” She wrinkled her nose at him, and he laughed.

“Sounds good t’me.” Was there any use in even fighting it at this point? Arm in arm, they returned to the village, an odd couple no matter how you looked at it.
